It could have been us.

There was this guy and a girl who were best buds since they were kids. As time went by, the two began to fall in love with each other. Time came when the guy had to migrate to another country. The day before the guy was about to leave, he told the girl,

Guy: "Since tomorrow I'm leaving, I'll tell you a secret. I'm in love with a girl, it's just that she doesn't know."

This made the girl really sad, thinking that the guy loved another girl so she said,

Girl: "Me too, I'm in love with a person but he loves someone else..."

This made the guy really sad, thinking that the girl loved another guy.

Tomorrow came and the guy had to leave. At the airport, the two bade each other goodbye coldly, thinking about what happened the day before.

9 years went by and the two grew apart. One day, the girl got an invitation from the guy and it told her about his wedding. The girl decided to go but not to the wedding but to the reception. On the way, she received a phone call. The person told her to no longer go to the reception and just go by his house the next day. The girl asked why and the person told her, "He died on a car crash on the way to his wedding."

After the funeral, the mother of the guy gave her his diary. She began to read it and she learned that he was in love with her all along and that the guy started the diary the day after he left to migrate. The last entry was the night before his wedding. The guy wrote in his last entry...

"Tomorrow I'm going to get married...

I just thought... it could have been us."

Call me a freak and all but that entry really made me teary. Haha. It was sooo sad! Funny but yeah, I really felt ... :((. Sorry na, sissy eh. Haha. Funnier thing was that when my friend told the story again, naiyak nanaman ako. How about that?! Haha. I couldn't get over the story. *sigh sigh sigh* Oh well. *shrugs*
